Levesque Dentistry is one of the few dentists in the Nashua area to be credentialed to administer dermal filler injections. As part of the credentialing process, our dentists completed a Board-approved training course to learn how to safely and effectively administer treatment to our patients.

The dentist will evaluate your facial condition and recommend the best treatment for you. In some cases, we may be able to perform treatment on the same visit, or we may schedule a separate appointment at a convenient time.
Dermal Fillers What to Expect
Dermal filler products are injected gently into the skin of areas to be treated with minimal discomfort. This should take about 15-30 minutes depending on how many syringes are being injected. A typical session uses one or two syringes of Juvederm.
After your treatment, you may experience mild redness, swelling, or sensitivity, which should slowly dissipate in a day or two. Your final result will emerge over the next week or two and periodic touch-ups can be completed at routine dental visits as needed. Most patients only need one treatment session to attain the desired results.
Juvederm has become a popular dermal filler option for restoring lost volume, especially in the cheeks. It is also commonly used to smooth lines around the mouth and nose areas. Our dentists can use Juvederm to produce natural results and give you a smoother, fuller appearance in areas where fine lines and wrinkles are visible.
Made from a naturally occurring substance called hyaluronic acid (HA), Juvederm injections will stimulate natural collagen production in areas where aging and environmental factors have caused a loss of volume.
In patients over the age of 21, Juvederm can help reduce the signs of aging by filling in the wrinkles that add years to the appearance. This popular dermal filler is not permanent, however.
The effects can last about six months to two years. It is FDA-approved and is proven to be extremely safe.
While this dermal filler is a great solution for instantly smoothing out wrinkles, it is not recommended for women who are pregnant or nursing.
We require our patients to be in good health and not smoke.
Dermal filler injections take about two weeks to settle. The procedure lasts about two to three hours, but the recovery is extended because of the invasive nature of the procedure.
After getting dermal fillers it is advised that patients try to sleep flat on their back. Patients should also avoid wearing earrings that could leave a mark on the fillers. After 2 weeks most patients feel comfortable to sleep normally.
After dermal fillers are placed patients should avoid exposing the area to heat. Patients should also avoid putting pressure on the area for the first couple of days following the procedure. Strenuous exercise and alcohol should be avoided for the first 24 hours after the fillers are placed.
